Prayer of the Day
Let us pray.
Sovereign God, you have created us to live in loving community with one another. Form us for life that is faithful and steadfast, and teach us to trust like little children, that we may reflect the image of your Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.

MESSAGE IN A PARAGRAPH OR TWO
“Sovereign God, you have created us to live in loving community with one another.” From Genisis on, it has been God’s intention for people to live in a loving community. Because of our brokenness, some are isolated and some communities are not loving. “Form us for life that is faithful and steadfast, and teach us to trust like little children, that we may reflect the image of your Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.” Scripture say for us to put out trust in God and not in human rulers.
When we pray, we have confidence that God hears. But God is not a Las Vegas magician who performs great magic to correct evil. Remember that Jesus was crucified by evil. But Jesus rose and his Spirit lives in the faithful. So part of the answer God gives us is to love others in our community. Be the presence of Jesus.
