A READING FROM PHILIPPIANS
4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. 6 Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
MESSAGE IN A PARAGRAPH OR TWO
We have a hymn, “Peace Came to Earth.” It’s a reference to God coming to earth in the human form of Jesus. During this Advent season, we anticipate the Lord’s return to bring heaven and earth together and to establish peace for forever.
If we do what the lesson above tells us to do, we can know the peace that passes all understanding now. It is a matter of Letting go and letting God. The Lord is near. Do not worry about anything.
